About me:

I have lived in the Hampton Roads area for over 13 years, and I truly love it here! Born and raised in New Jersey, I moved here in 1994 to attend Old Dominion University. Upon graduation, I bought an architectural landscape and design company. When the attacks of 911 occurred, I felt a duty to serve and protect my country which led me into the U.S. Coast Guard as an enlisted person. I began attending graduate school and applied for officer's candidate school. As an officer, I moved to Cape May, New Jersey and then on to the Gulf Coast to complete assignments. I continued to work on my master's degree and completed it in 2007. While serving on the Gulf Coast, I missed the beauty and diversity of the Hampton Roads area and made a decision to move back. After my Coast Guard contract was fulfilled, I moved back to the West Ghent area and decided to pursue a new and exciting career in real estate. I remain in the Coast Guard Reserve as a Lieutenant.

Why Real Estate?

For one, my mother is both an agent and a broker and has had a very successful career for the last 33 years. I have seen firsthand how strenuous and rewarding the career can be. Secondly, after buying and selling a few times on my own, I felt misguided, confused and frustrated. I signed papers that were not fully explained to me, I had to do a lot of following up myself, and I had to find answers without guidance. My personal transactions with the realtors I did business with were unacceptable to me. That is not the way it needs to be. My mission is when you get to the closing table, you will have no uncertainty. For me, my job as a realtor is to make your experience as stress-free, lucid and pleasantly memorable as possible. In my opinion, this is what all realtors should so do, but unfortunately, it does not happen all of the time.

My Interests:

I have a beautiful family! We are the proud parents of a one-year old named Katie Paige and our family of five includes a rescue Persian, Tanner and our boxer, Basil. I enjoy doing volunteer work at the Portsmouth Humane Society. I am also a competitive athlete, you will regularly see me running or biking around Ghent. I have an abundance of energy and determination which allows me to get the results you deserve!
