I worked for many years in health care as an administrator for large physician practices, when one day I took a test designed to tell me what type of job I was best suited for. The results revealed I was in the wrong job, wrong industry, wrong everything. No wonder I was so unhappy!

I realized I wanted to work for myself (and the test results indicated I should be working for myself) but decided I needed to better prepare myself for self-employment before taking that leap. I returned to school working full-time and attending classes full-time at night, and after several long, hard years of work earned my M.B.A. (Masters Degree in Business Administration). Now all I had to do was decide what kind of business I wanted to start. The test results indicated I should be in sales. Sales? Really?

At that same time, my husband and I were investing in the real estate market, buying homes to fix up and resell or rent. I decided to give real estate sales a try. Wow! The test results were right again. I love selling real estate and have given up all my investing activities to focus on selling real estate full-time.

I have never been happier or felt more fulfilled professionally. And it shows. My customers will tell you, my happiness has turned into a win-win for them as well. As a successful agent, earning an outstanding rookie designation from the Hampton Roads Realtors Association in my very first year as a real estate agent, I have helped many families achieve their real estate dreams.
