Instead of a lot of cliche expressions, I will just tell you an interesting story, and below that you can read on to see what my clients think of me.... :)
My parents owned a Bicycle shop in Englewood Colorado when I was a child. They worked 7 days a week, and did the best they could. On occasion my mother would take me in to the shop and I would sit on the counter and watch her work. I also watched the customers coming and going. I don't remember how it started, but my mom asked me to give her a nod when I thought they were going to buy a bike. She would watch me eagerly as the customer entered, and I looked them up and down, sizing them up as to their intentions. I would turn, ever so slight and give her the thumbs up. Off she went, helping them and excited at the moment they picked out their bicycle. I was correct 9 of 10 times at least. Now, I'm over 40+ and I have a most ponderous question... Did they buy because I sensed something, OR did they buy because my Mom Paid such special attention to them ??!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Mr. Evans, I am just finishing the paperwork attendant to the purchase of a new home in Williamsburg. And, as I reflect over the process, I believe this is a good time to pass on some thoughts and impressions we have concerning your Sales Associate, Laura Chapman. As an old “geezer” who has moved some 16 times, my wife and I have come in contact with a number of realtors over the past 40 plus years. We can state unequivocally that Laura Chapman is the best Real Estate salesperson that we have ever dealt with. That is a strong statement – but we really mean it. I am sure her principal attributes are well known to you: intelligent, perceptive, professionalism, sensitive as well as exhibiting a friendly, positive, “can-do” attitude. She is particularly strong in focusing on her customers’ needs. “One-of-a-kind” people such as Laura project a persona that is readily evident after only a brief encounter. Our first meeting with Laura was last fall. She tuned in with us and immediately focused on us, our situation and our desires. She is warm, friendly and caring. Instead of listening to a typical sales “pitch”, the meeting turned into an easy and friendly discussion – much as it would be with one of our daughters. On the way home we concluded that if we purchased a home in Williamsburg, Laura Chapman would be the person with whom we wanted to work. We returned to purchase a home only a short time ago. Each of the houses she showed us possessed the main characteristics of what we were looking for—it was clear that she had listened closely and understood our likes and dislikes. Ultimately, we decided to build a house. As you well know, this involves considerably more negotiation. Our respect for Laura grew and grew as we faced each of the many decisions that must be made and agreed to. Her knowledge of the process and her attention to detail was excellent. She was particularly adept at smoothing over the “rough spots” that inevitably occur in the negotiation process. Most importantly she was able to secure a purchase price that we were happy with. While I strongly expect that you share many of these views, we wanted to be sure that our appreciation for her efforts and skill do not go unnoticed. Sincerely, George Shaw ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "My husband Rich Garcia and I worked with Laura Chapman for the 3rd time last year to sell an unusual home in Newport News, and find a new one in Williamsburg. It was a very hectic time for both of us, as I was changing jobs and he was extremely busy with his own work projects. It has been just over a year in our new home, and since things have quieted down I realize I have been remiss in forwarding on to you my thoughts about Laura's service as our agent.
First: She was absolutely 100% available to answer our questions and work through our anxieties about the selling and buying process (weekends, nights- whenever!)
Second: We had a very unique, older home to sell at a time when the market was just starting to become difficult AND with a buyer that became very challenging as well. Laura was a relentless negotiator on our behalf and allowed us to walk away with a great deal while protecting our interests as the sellers.
Third: She took the time to get to know us, and therefore was able to conceptualize what we were looking for quickly and efficiently. Laura was able to again negotiate a fantastic deal and a quick move-in. The result is that we are now in a home and a location that we absolutely love! Fourth: Months later after move-in, she continued to check in on us and see how we were doing. This type of follow-through has been so appreciated and has kept her in our minds for any future referrals.
Due to the nature of our jobs and lifestyle, we move frequently. We will, without hesitation call upon Laura for a 4th time to work with us on our next sale and purchase when the time comes. In the meantime, I hope that you are aware of what an excellent and professional agent you have in your employ, and that William E. Wood will always have our business and referrals as a result of her hard work".
Sincerely, Anna R. Bennett & Richard J. Garcia ------------------------------------------------------------------------
