If you love the feel of a city you will love Ghent. Ghent offers many activities, shops, restaurants, and is home to Norfolk's largest medical complex that contains Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Sentara Heart Hospital, and we cannot forget Eastern Virginia Medical School. In Ghent everything is within walking distance.

Within Ghent you have dining of all tastes from home style foods to foods from around the world. Entertainment in Ghent is amazing from the Harrison Opera House, the Naro Theater, Chrysler Museum, and to local events that can be seen on Ghent's website (www.destinationGhent.com). If you love to shop you will have no problem here! Ghent offers a mixture of retailers that are sure to please everyone.

Ghent is family oriented and offers an excellent choice of public & private schools to also include Old Dominion University! ODU spirit is found all around Hamptons Roads and especially here in Ghent. ODU just recently got their very own football team and they have a winning basketball team!

The west side of Norfolk includes the beautiful neighborhoods of Lochhaven, Edgewater, Larchmont, Riverview, Lafayette Shores, Riverpoint, Algonquin, North Shore, West Ghent, Ghent Square, Freemason, and The Hague just to name a few.

In Downtown Norfolk the excitement enlarges with more shops, dining, and entertainment at your fingertips! Shopping is a snap at the MacArthur Mall and surrounding unique shops. Entertainment is no problem either with concerts, the circus, the Virginia International Tattoo plus more all at the Scope and the NorVa. There are many restaurants to choose from including the Jewish Mother which is directly behind the NorVa.

We cannot forget about the sports! Norfolk is home to the Tides that play in Harbour Park. The Tides are the AAA team for the Baltimore Orioles and the half time shows are just as much fun as game. If baseball is not your sport maybe you prefer hockey. With the Admirals hockey games at the Scope there is bound to be excitement!

Downtown is home to waterfront living with condos built on piers that jet out into the Elizabeth River and gorgeous homes with amazing water views! Downtown Norfolk and Ghent are great places to live with access to almost everything you could possibly hope and wish for we have shopping, dining, entertainment, excellent schools, and close to the world's largest Naval Base.

With warmer weather arriving here in Norfolk get ready for Towne Pointe Park events. Towne Pointe offers great summer concerts in which most are free and open to the public! They also offer family movie nights where families and friends come in evenings and watch free family films while relaxing on the lawn. If you like seafood you will love the Harbour Festival and Bayou Festival that happens here as well. Adults we didn't forget about you, Towne Pointe Park also hosts the Virginia Wine Festival and the Beer Festival.
