After a successful 28 year career in the military which included 12 years of enlisted service advancing to E-7 and 16 years of commissioned service retiring as an O-5, I turned my attention to a second career.

Having lived in the local area since 1981 I was relatively familiar with the area and real estate sales appeared interesting and challenging. I was licensed as a Realtor near the end of 1994 and initially trained in a Virginia Beach based company. In March of 1995 I was assigned to the Newport News office of that company and my knowledge of the local area grew rapidly while listing and selling homes.

In 1997 I established my own real estate company with offices in Newport News and Virginia Beach. In 1998 I completed the requirements for and was licensed as a Real Estate Broker. As a broker/owner I continued to list and sell homes helping both sellers and buyers achieve their home ownership objectives.

In 1999 I completed both the educational and practical requirements for and earned the newest of real estate designations, Accredited Buyer Representative, ABR.

In 2000 I became aware of what seemed to me a new real estate concept, representing exclusively home buyers. About the middle of that year I sold my real estate company and joined an exclusive buyer representation company. I assumed the responsibilities of branch office manager/broker while continuing to serve exclusively buyer clients. Near the end of 2005 the company changed its policies, from exclusively representing buyers to that of traditional real estate, representing both sellers and buyers.

On January 1, 2006 I joined the William E. Wood & Associates team of professionals as an associate broker.

Always a top producer in all of the real estate companies I have been associated with I have been a member of the Virginia Association of Realtors Outstanding Salesmanship Club every year since 1996.

Throughout the years I have become extremely familiar with the area, cities/counties, neighborhoods, school systems, and more. Customer satisfaction is my goal. No matter if you are selling or buying a successful transaction is one in which the buyer or seller is happy and satisfied with the results. I mean satisfied to the extent that they do not hesitate to recommend me to their family, friends, and co-workers. I have developed a reputation for professionalism, integrity, honesty, and true caring for the interests of my clients while adhering strictly to the code of ethics.
