A CARING APPROACH
Throughout my life, I have had one goal in mind - to make a positive difference in the lives of others by representing their best interests. This has been my guiding principle in my professional career, from working as a juvenile probation officer for the Norfolk Juvenile Court, as Executive Director of Friends of the NJC to serving as a marketing director and fundraiser for organizations such as The Jones Institute and the Virginia Symphony. I have served on numerous boards relating to child welfare and continue to serve on the board of The Dwelling Place. Each position has allowed me to work directly with children or on projects that benefitted the youth in my hometown. I was able to reach the pinnacle of my profession not only because of my sincere compassion for helping others, but for the tenacious effort and relentless drive I put into achieving my goals.
